Motus Classic

Overview

Motus Classicis a bilingual English–French guessing word game.

Motus Classic challenges players to uncover a randomly selected word of 6, 7, or 8 letters, with only the first letter revealed at the start.

How to play

Players have six attempts to guess the word, and can choose between two game modes: 'Regular Play' and 'Super Play'.

In 'Regular Play', each guess must be submitted within a fixed time limit. The score depends on the number of attempts used, ranging from 6 points for a correct guess on the first try down to 1 point on the last attempt, and 0 points if the word is not found.

In 'Super Play', the objective is to guess as many words as possible within a single global time limit. Each correctly guessed word earns one point, rewarding speed and consistency.

After each guess, the game provides visual feedback:

• Red letters indicate correct letters in the correct position

• Yellow letters indicate correct letters in the wrong position

Words that are misspelled are automatically rejected.

Dictionary

Each word encountered in the game is added to a list of words whose definitions can be found in dictionaries. This list can be accessed via the “Dictionary” button.

The built-in dictionaries are very rich, highly detailed, and available offline.

Common nouns, plurals, adjectives, verbs (base form, past participle and present participle) are allowed. However, proper nouns, compound words, past tense of verbs, prefixes, suffixes, symbols, acronyms and abbreviations are not accepted.

Accepted words include common nouns, plurals, adjectives, and verbs (base form, present participle, and past participle).

The game does not accept proper nouns, compound words, past tense verb forms, prefixes, suffixes, symbols, acronyms, or abbreviations.
